1. Who we are

TYSMED ("TYSMED", "we", "us", "our") is a Dominican company that distributes certified medical equipment. Our registered office is in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. You can reach us at sales@tysmed.com or +1 (809) 000-0000.

This policy is issued in compliance with Dominican Republic Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed) when you register.
  • Order data: billing/shipping address, items purchased, payment method.
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe and PayPal — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications: emails, support tickets, chat transcripts.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages visited (via cookies and analytics).
  • Professional information: facility name, role and license number when applicable (for prescription-restricted equipment).

3. How we use your data

  • Process orders, payments and deliveries.
  • Provide warranty, calibration and maintenance services.
  • Comply with regulatory and tax obligations (DGII, MISPAS, DGA).
  • Send transactional emails (order updates, invoices, warranty notices).
  • With your consent, send marketing emails — which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
  • Improve our website and detect fraud.

4. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us operate:

  • Payment processors — Stripe, Inc. and PayPal Holdings, Inc.
  • Logistics partners — domestic couriers for shipment tracking.
  • Cloud infrastructure — hosting, database and email delivery vendors.
  • Manufacturers — only when required for warranty claims or registrations.
  • Authorities — when legally required (court order, tax audit).

We never sell your personal data.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies (cart, session), analytics cookies (page views, user flows) and, with consent, marketing cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

6. Data retention

We retain order and invoice data for at least 10 years to comply with Dominican tax law. Account data is kept while your account is active; you may request deletion at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Your rights (Law 172-13)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion (subject to legal retention).
  • Object to processing for marketing purposes.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • File a complaint with the relevant Dominican authority.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted backups, role-based access controls and security audits. No system is 100% secure, but we follow industry best practices and PCI-DSS standards through our payment processors.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the Dominican Republic (primarily the United States and the European Union). These transfers are protected by contractual clauses equivalent to Dominican law standards.

10. Children

Our services are intended for healthcare professionals and adult buyers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will reflect the change. Material changes will be notified by email or banner.
